COVID-19 STAY AT HOME ORDER (3/22/20) - HVC CURBSIDE SERVICE

As veterinary medicine is considered an essential business, Hillside Veterinary Clinic will remain open to serve the medical and surgical needs of our patients. Due to the restrictions in place, we have closed our lobby, and our service will be limited to curbside only. Except for euthanasia procedures, only staff members are permitted in the clinic. Please note the following guidelines.

APPOINTMENTS: Please call us upon arrival from your car, and a staff member will come to the parking lot. Clients will be asked to remove their pet’s leash, as we will use our own slip lead. After providing our veterinary assistant with the appropriate history and concerns, pets will be examined by the doctor in our isolated treatment area. Clients are to remain in their car. Drop-off appointments are also welcomed. After the examination, diagnostic procedures, and appropriate medical care, the findings, recommendations, and treatment will be discussed by phone. Clients will be checked out from their car, and pets will be returned. A comprehensive exam report dictated by the doctor will be emailed upon completion of the visit.

ANESTHETIC PROCEDURES (DENTALS & SURGERIES): Again, please call from your car. After providing history and signing consent documentation, anesthetic pets will be taken directly to our surgical ward. We will maintain contact throughout the day and release patients as normal. Following the procedure, the findings, recommendations, and treatment will be discussed by phone. Clients will be checked out from their car, and pets will be released.

PRESCRIPTION & FOOD: For prescriptions, medication refills, and food, please give us 24 hours notice. Upon your arrival, please call, and we will bring the medication out to your car and complete the transaction. Payment may also be accepted in advance by phone.

GROOMING: Grooming is not an essential health requirement. As of Tuesday, March 24th, HVC will suspend all grooming services until further notice.

TOE NAIL TRIMS & ANAL GLANDS: These technician appointments may be essential for the health of your pet. These may be scheduled routinely, and the curbside protocol will be followed.

We plan to ride out this national emergency and will do everything that we can to ensure that you and your pets are safe. If you have any questions, please call our office. We are here to help. (740) 392-6891.

Thank you,

Dr. Dubusky, Dr. Wise, and the Staff of Hillside Veterinary Clinic
